If you live in or are planning on visiting the UK and are planning on having a breast enlargement procedure while in the UK, you may be interested to know that it is actually more costly to have a breast enlargement procedure in the UK than it is in the United States; roughly the equivalent of about $6000 dollars.

Other than the above mentioned information, there is really not much difference between undergoing breast enlargement in the UK and undergoing breast enlargement in the United States. You will generally start the process by researching potential cosmetic surgeons and then setting up consultations with one (or more) of your choice while at the consultation, your chosen cosmetic surgeon will clearly and concisely explain to you the risks associated with breast augmentation surgery. If, after you are aware of the potential negative outcomes of the procedure, you and your chosen physician will determine the type and size implant that is right for you.  Generally, the size of implants is measured not in bra cup size, but in ccs (for the amount of fluid they contain). 

After the relevant information has been decided upon, you will generally be quoted a price for the procedure. This amount will vary, regardless of whether you are getting a breast enlargement in the UK or the United States, and will be determined by many underlying factors. Once you have determined the price and made appropriate payment arrangements, you will be given an appointment date to undergo the breast augmentation. Often, once the date of the appointment is set, you may incur financial charges if you change your mind about the procedure. So it is imperative that you be certain about your intentions at this point.

Additionally, you should expect to have about one to two weeks of downtime after undergoing a breast enlargement in the UK (or anywhere else). During this time it is perfectly normal to experience mild to moderate pain, swelling, bruising and even drainage. Your doctor will fully explain which recovery symptoms are normal and which should be cause for alarm. After your recovery period and follow up appointment, you doctor should release you to resume your normal activities.
